We have also finalised new dates in early 2010 for the Understanding the Governance of Charitable Foundations Seminars, also run by Philanthropy Australia’s Treasurer, David Ward:
- Sydney: Tuesday 16 March 2010, 9:30am - 12:30pm
- Melbourne: Thursday 18 March 2010, 9:30am - 12:30pm
This seminar covers broader trustee issues and governance, though does touch on new Private Ancillary Fund (PAF) guidelines.
For PAF-focussed governance, we suggest registering for the PAF Governance Workshop instead.

Did you know it’s Australian Giving Week from November 29 - December 5 2009?
According to the website, the aim of this annual event is to focus attention on the many ways that individuals, families, businesses, and groups can make a difference to their community. “It’s about helping people take some small, simple steps that open the way for a better supported, more inclusive, more vibrant community – not just during the Christmas period but all year long as well.”

Dear Members, Associates and friends of Philanthropy Australia,Please join us for our annual end-of-year celebrations, wrapping up Philanthropy Australia’s activities for 2009.
The Sydney celebrations will be held on Tuesday 8 December, 5:30 - 7:30pm at AMP, Level 25 Board Dining Room, 33 Alfred Street, Circular Quay NSW. (All guests need to register with the concierge on the ground floor before proceeding to Level 25.)
